The British freighter Empire Attendant, which had been reported torpedoed 100 miles off the Irish coast on March 7, with four other ships in a convoy, arrived unexpectedly today. Captain Kooy of the Dutch liner Leerdam. had said on arrival on Wednesday (hat he was close to the Empire Attendant when a torpedo struck her. The British officials here refused comment on the Empire Attendant’s arrival and the captain and crew were not allowed to recount their experience!!.
