FAMOUS ITALIAN ACE
KILLED ON THE ALBANIAN FRONT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, March 19. The correspondent of “The Times” on the Italian frontier reports that Air Lieutenant-Colonel Pietro Scapinelli was killed in an air crash somewhere in the front line in Albania. He was a famous Italian ace and won the Bieriot trophy in 1933 for the attainment of 620 kilometres an hour in an Italian plane. He fought with the legionaries’ air corps in Spain and participated in the occupation of Albania.
