FLEET AIR ARM
ATTACK ON ITALIAN WARSHIP CRUISER OR DESTROYER. VESSEL SUNK OR SEVERELY DAMAGED. An Italian cruiser or large destroyer was most likely sunk or at least severely damaged in a series of attacks by the Fleet Air Arm. carried out against enemy shipping at Valona and Durazzo on Saturday and Monday nights, states the 8.8. C. Six or seven hits in all were obtained with torpedoes. An official communique from Cairo states that the attacks were extremely successful.
