THE KING AND QUEEN
VISIT TO WELSH CITIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) RUGBY, March 19. After their Majesties had walked round bombed areas in Swansea and talked to many of those who lost homes in the Luftwaffe's recent attack, the Queen said to the chairman of A.R.P. services, who himself lost his wife and two relations in a raid: “I think the people are miraculous, and anything we can do for them is a great pleasure and privilege.”
Both at Swansea and Cardiff their Majesties received enthusiastic greetings. and the visit concluded with inspection of civil defence workers in Cardiff municipal square.
