ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION IN LONDON. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. March 18. Greek Independence Day will be celebrated in London on March 25 by a 1 mass meeting at the Queen's Hall when Mr L. S. The meeting is being held under the auspices of the Anglo-Hellenic League, which for more than 20 years has taken a prominent, part in promoting friendship and understanding between the people of this country and Greece. Its activities are mainly cultural and social. On several occasions it sent a number of English schoolboys to Greece, and in return welcomed Greek schoolboys to England. One present activity is the sponsoring in England of the appeal recently launched by the Crown Princess •of Greece for funds to provide comforts for the Greek, fighting forces.
