COSY THEATRE
TWO FEATURE ATTRACTIONS TOMORROW.
The tranquility of operations on board a gambling ship, moored outside the three mile limit off the coast of California, is rather rudely disturbed in Warner Bros, new film, “Gambling On The High Seas,” which commences at the Cosy Theatre tomorrow night, when robust Wayne Morris, as a newspaper reporter, goes to work unravelling the intricacies of a highly organised gambling racket and putting together a jig-saw of circumstances surrounding the murders of two men, both former confreres of Gilbert Roland. Roland is the slick gambling “boss” of a lavishly appointed floating rendezvous for devotees of chance. Inspired by the song hit of the same name Republic’s “Rancho Grande.” thrilling action show, starring Gene Autry, singing star of.the saddle, also comes to the Cosy Theatre tomorrow. Foreman of the Rancho Grande. Gene is distressed when he learns that Kay and Tom Dodge are flying to the Rancho with their younger sister Patsy. The Dodges have a nationwide reputation as madcaps and Gene dreads their arrival as he already has his hands more than full saving the Rancho Grande from foreclosure.
