MR. C. E. CRITCHLEY
RECALLED TO AUSTRALIA. TAKING UP SPECIAL POST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. The Australian Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, Mr. C. E. Critchley, M.8.E., is to return to Australia to undertake special duties in the organisation of emergency food supplies in the Commonwealth. It is understood that he will leave New Zealand about the ; beginning of next month. Mr. Critchley has represented the Australian Government in this country since December. 1937. He is one of the senior officers of the Trade Commissioner Service of the Commonwealth, and before coming to New Zealand served for some nine or 10 years in Canada and the Netherlands East Indies. As yet no appointment, has been made to the position being vacated bv Mi'. Critchley. and after his departure the office of the Australian Trade Commissioner will be in charge of Mr. J. L. Menzies, the Assistant Commissioner.
