MASTERTON CLUB. ANNUAL REPORT. The following is the annual report of the Masterton Football Club, to be presented at the annual meeting to be held pi the Y.M.C.A., on Monday, March 24, at 7.30 p.m.: —“Your committee again has pleasure in submitting the annuual report and balance sheetcovering the activities of the 1940 season. Although the season’s workings resulted in a slight financial loss, the club’s financial position is still very sound. Your club's fourth grade team won their championship, and we congratulate them and their coach, Mr. Les. Groube, on their success. Your senior and third grade teams did very well considering the number of players who had to be replaced on account of their joining the armed forces. Two senior members, lan Percy and Harry Ewington, gained representative honours; during the season. At the present time there are 28 of your club serving in the Army, Navy and Air Force, and we appeal to the oldmembers and those who are unfit for active service, to give their full support to keep the club alive while the majority of the active members are away. The club extends its heartiest thanks to the supporters, hon. auditor, coaches, team captains, members of the ladies’ committee, president and vice-presi-dents for their valued help and support.
