ATTACK ON CONVOY

BY GROUP OF GERMAN SUBMARINES. REPORT BY SURVIVORS IN CANADA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) OTTAWA, March 15. Survivors arriving in Canada revealed that a group of German submarines “firing, torpedoes from all directions” attacked a convoy en route to Canada from England and sank four ships. They said that other - ships were hit, but remained afloat. The convoy was attacked twice within six hours several days after leaving England. A large auxiliary vessel, also an oil tanker and two freighters were sunk.
