BOY HERO
PART TAKEN IN BATTLE OF NARVIK PRESENTATION IN BRITAIN. FOLLOWING ON AWARD OF D.S.M. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 11.27 a.m.) RUGBY. March 16. At a church parade attended by Sea Cadets, of which organisation he was formerly a member, a boy hero of Narvik was presented with a gold watch subscribed for by his relatives and friends in recognition of his fidelity to duty during the battle. His name is Jimmy Harris, and his rank in the Navy, “first-class boy,” is descriptive of his character as well. Harris received the D.S.M. at the hands of the King during a recent investiture.
