CENTRAL CHINA
DISTRICT EVACUATED BY JAPANESE. OFFICIAL EXPLANATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK. March 13. ; The Domei (Tokio) news agency says Japanese forces have evacuated on their own initiative the Tungcheng area. Central China, which they had held for two years and five months. The spokesman of the Japanese forces said the disposition of Japanese forces had been changed in order to secure more favourable positions.
