WEDDING

A MASTERTOM BRIDEGROOM. PILOT OFFICER G. V. DONALD. LONDON, January 13. On January 4 the marriage took place at St. Thomas's Church, Hove. Sussex, of Pilot Officer Graeme Vivien Donald, R.A.F., son of Mr and Mrs V. E. Donald (Masterton), and Miss Shirley Pamela Mitchell, daughter of the late Mr S. Mitchell, and of Mrs Mitchell. of Uxbridge. Middlesex. The couple met while Miss Mitchell was serving with the W.A.A.F. in the early months of the war. Pilot Officer' Donald was educated at Wairarapa College. For seven months he served in the "Merchant Service as an apprentice. He then spent two years in Australia and on returning to New Zealand he joined his father's business. Flying became his hobby and he was accepted for a short service commission in the R.A.F, in 1939.
