OUTPATIENT SERVICE
| POSITION IN WELLINGTON. I (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ( WELLINGTON. This Day. "We have had our busy days, but ; there is nothing extraordinary about i the whole position." said Dr. Cairney, 1 Director of Clinical Services at the ’ Wellington Hospital when he was t questioned .about the outpatient divi- < sion. as a result of the free medical at- 1 tention now supplied. "It is true,” Dr. Cairney said, "that we have had more than the usual number of busy days just recently, but it frequently happens that we may strike a week that is more than usually busy and perhaps a week in which we arc not so busy. It has certainly not reach- t ed a position where the present staff I cannot cope with the situation in a nor- “ mal manner. Wellington has always c had a considerable outpatient depart- V ment, more perhops than any other t hospital, but it will take the experience ti of several weeks before any definite c idea of the effect of the scheme can be g formed.” 1
