LITTLE DAMAGE
AND FEW CASUALTIES IN LATEST ENEMY RAIDS ON BRITAIN. BOMBS DROPPED IN EAST KENT. There were few enemy aircraft over Britain yesterday, the 8.8. C. states. Some bombs were dropped in East Kent, but there were no casualties and little damage. On Tuesday night enemy raids were in no way heavy, and casualties were light. HEAVY ATTACK MADE ON NORTH-WEST TOWN. LONDON, March 12. Air raiders last night bombed 34 localities in Britain. Chief targets were towns in the west and cast Midlands. Some planes were near Liverpool and there was minor activity off the north-east coast of Scotland and the west of England. A town in the north-west had its heaviest and most sustained raid for some months, but raids ended before midnight. Enemy air activity during the day was slight and no reports are received of any bombs being dropped on land. One aircraft was shot down by our fighters off the south coast this afternoon.
