AWARDED DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS. ATTACKS ON ENEMY VESSEL AT BREST. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, March 11. A New Zealander, Flying-officer G. E. . Weston, has been awarded the D.F.C. The citation says: Flying-Offi-cer Weston was detailed to attack an. enemy vessel lying in a dock at Brest. Despite the failure of the starboard engine, exceptional searchlight and antiaircraft opposition he located the target and pressed home the attack with a full load of bombs. Returning over the English Channel the engine picked up, and then failed again, but skilful handling enabled him to land safely at his base. Flying-Officer Weston displayed outstanding gallantry, skill and determination throughout.
