BOWLING
$ MASTERTON CLUB. • PATRIOTIC TOURNAMENT. (Notes by "The Bowler.”) On Saturday afternoon next, commencing at 1 o'clock, the Masterton Bowling Club will hold an open rink tournament, in aid' of the Patriotic Funds. Entries are coming in freely from the club members, and I understand that these entries will be considerably augmented from the Park Club. As entries will close on Thursday evening the committee of the club will be pleased if those desirous of taking part in the tourney will make their entries as soon as possible. As the tourney is for such a worthy object I expect to see a record number of entries.
CHAMPION FOURS. An interesting game in the champion fours was played last evening between teams skipped by W. Christian and E. Reid. After a close finish. Christian's team won by two points. Nielsen's team will now meet Henderson’s team, and the winner will play Christian's four. Both Christian and Nielsen have two lives, while Henderson's rink has one life.
