MINISTER FOR DEFENCE

VISIT TO MASTERTON. TO OPEN RECRUITING CAMPAIGN. \ The Hon. F. Jones, Minister of Defence, will tomorrow visit Masterton. Tomorrow night he will attend at the Regent Theatre when the Band of the Royal Air Force will give a concert. Mr Jones, who will be accompanied by Mrs Jones, will arrive in Masterton tomorrow afternoon and will be the guest of Mr J. Robertson, M.P. At 7 p.m. he will meet members of the local Labour Party for a social talk. In the evening Mr Jones will open the Air Force recruiting campaign in the Regent Theatre. The campaign will officially be got under way in Masterton on Monday and members of the recruiting committee will be in attendance at the Municipal Buildings to interview applicants. Mr Jones will return to Wellington late tomorrow night.
