FREE KINDERGARTEN

SPORTS FAIR AND CARNIVAL At a meeting of mothers held at 24 Masters Crescent last night, arrangements for the childrens sports fair and baby carnival in aid of the Masterton West Free Kindergarten funds were finalised. It was decided that the fair should be held on April 5 at the Wairarapa College grounds, and a programme was outlined by the President, Mrs. C. J. Williams, who called for helpers for the stalls. An offer by Mr. M. G. McKay to organise the fair with the aid of a committee of men. was accepted, and indications point towards the function being very successful. The fair wil] be officially opened by Mr. J. Robertson. M.P.. and the programme will include novelty races for the children, cake and produce stalls, competitions, a bran tub. and numerous other attractions.
