CONSIDERABLE ACTIVITY OVER BRITAIN SOME DAMAGE BUT CASUALTIES SMALL. The number of < casualties is small. Buildings were j damaged in a town on the coast of East i Anglia but elsewhere there was little t damage. An enemy bomber was shot .1 down into the Channel by our fighters this afternoon.” GERMAN COMMUNIQUE (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) LONDON, March 6. A German communique states: “Reconnaissance planes bombed military installations at Portsmouth, hitting barracks.
