SATISFACTORY PROGRESS OUTSTANDING DETAILS. 1 AGREEMENT ON PRINCIPAL TERMS. A- message from Tokio states that the Japanese Foreign Minister, Mr Matsuoka, and the French Ambassador, M. Henry, were making satisfactory progress in their talks about outstanding details in the settlement of the dispute between Indo-China and Thailand states the 8.8. C. Agreement on the principal terms of the Japanese plan was announced early yesterday. JOINT COMMUNIQUE COMPLETE SETTLEMENT LIKELY IN FEW DAYS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) TOKIO, March 6. Mr Yomiuri and M. Arsene Henry asked for more time on account of a visit to Paris. However, unless a basis of accord is reached by Thursday, Japan would prepare to meet the “worst possible situation” from the standpoint of the mediator’s responsibility. Another message states that the Japanese, Thailand and French authorities have issued a joint communique reading: “The mediation plan presented by the Japanese Government has been agreed to by.both the French and Thai Governments on the principal points and the remaining points of detail are likely to be settled in a few days’ time.” , I THAILAND ACCEPTS FRENCH RESERVATIONS IN FINAL PEACE TERMS. (Received This Day. 9.50 a.m.) BANGKOK, March 6. A Bangkok radio message officially announced that Thailand had accepted the French reservations in the final Japanese peace terms whereon Japan had announced a basis of agreement.
