Pontypool beat the New Zealand Army fifteen by 11 points to 3. The game was very keen, with hard struggles between the packs. A. W. Hurst got a great penalty goal from half way for New Zealand in the first half. Exchanges were fairly equal in the second half although Pontypool did the remainder of the scoring. The Pontypool Town Council entertained the-two teams.
