DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BROKEN OFF
German Troops Pouring Into Country
LARGE BRITISH FORCES IN GREECE
ACCORDING TO ENEMY SOURCES
The latest news from the Balkans, the 8.8. C. broadcast this morning, is that the members of the British diplomatic corps in Bulgaria will be leaving for Istanbul early next week, following the breaking off of diplomatic relations by Great Britain. Ihe British Minister in Sofia said Bulgaria was preparing actively to co-operate with Germany. Reuter’s correspondent, who has reached Belgrade, says the three main routes to the south are solid miles of mechanised vehicles. German troops are pouring into the country by train, lorry and plane. The German radio at Stavanger, in Norway, states that German, forces are now only 60 or 70 miles from Salonika and an advance to .that city would be difficult, to stop. It is claimed by Nazi sources that a large number of British troops are in Greece and that a whole Canadian Division, has been landed at Salonika. The Germans and Italians are preparing a joint military operation.
