FEILDING SALE GOOD DEMAND FOR FAT CATTLE. LAMB PRICES ADVANCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, February 28. A heavy yarding of about 20.000 head of sheep found a strong market at the Feilding stock sale today, lambs in particular selling freely at advanced prices. Fat sheep: Mutton was in light supply, but of fair to good quality, wethers making goh.d values. Extra prime wethers sold for 25s lOd; prime, 23s 4d; lighter, 21s 4d; prime heavy lambs, 235; second quality, 20s lOd; lighter, to 19s lOd; prime ewes, 12s 4d; medium prime, 9s lOd to 10s 6d. Store sheep: There was a splendid quality yarding of lambs, and aged ewes also showed an improvement on last week. Two-tooth ewes did ■ not make the prices paid at the fair last Friday. Best wether lambs brought 16s 6d to 17s 9d; good, 15s 3d to 16s Id; smaller, 12s 6d to 14s 9d; extra good black-face lambs, 17s to 18s 3d; second grade, 15s to 16s 6d; others, 12s 9d to 14s 9d; good ewe lambs, 20s to 23s 6d; smaller, 16s to 19s 3d; backward, 12s 9d to 15s 6d; best two-tooth ewes. 34s to 36s 6d; good. 30s to 33s 9d; others. 25s to 29s 6d; four-tooth ewes, 26s 6d to 30s 6d; four and sixtooth, good, 24s 3d to 25s 6d; others, 18s 10d to 21s 3d; four-year ewes, good. 245; others. 16s lOd to 19s 2d; five-year ewes, best, 17s 4d to 20s 7d: poorer. 12s lOd to 16s 4d.
Fat cattle: The 'beef yarded was in good condition and sold well. Prime heifers made £6 12s 6d to £7 2s 6d; others, £5 7s 6d to £6 2s 6d; prime cows, £7 12s 6d to £8 12s 6d; second grade. £6 12s 6d to £7 2s 6d; others. £4 17s 6d to £6 5s 6d; prime bullocks. £ll 7s 6d slighter, £8 12s 6d to £9 2s 6d; steers, £4 17s 6d to £7 17s 6d; runners, £4 ss. Store cattle: A few head of cows and heifers sold at late rates. Boner cows realised £2 16s to £3 2s 6d; threeyear A.A. heifers. £6 12s 6d: two-year, £4 17s 6d.
Pigs: Weaners, 5s 6d to 9s; slips, 13s to 15s; stores, 17s to 22s Gel; porkers, £1 16s 6d to £2 Is.
EWE FAIR PRICES AT EKETAHUNA. KEEN SALE THROUGHOUT. A full yarding of all classes of breeding ewes was forward at the annual Eketahuna ewe fair held on Thursday, and there was a large and representative attendance of buyers. The sale throughout was keen, and all good quality ewes made values well up to those ruling at ewe fairs held lately in neighbouring districts. A total clearance was effected. Prices: — Four-year ewes, account Leach Bros., 235; five year ewes, account AV. E. Warren, 18s 3d; account Clee and Price, 18s Id; other medium sorts. 16s to 17s 6d; mixed age ewes, 17s Id; six-year ewes, 14s 6d to 15s 7d; carry-over twotooth ewes, 22s to 23s 7d; cull four and six-tooth ewes, 17s to 18s 6d; fattening ewes, 10s 6d. CARTERTON SALE CATTLE EASING IN PRICE. PIGS BRING LATE RATES. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—A full yarding of stock came forward at Carterton yesterday. The breeding ewes were mixed and competition was Wethers made late values while lambs of all classes sold particularly well. There is a very keen demand for the better class lamb suitable for rape. Cattle were slightly easier and pigs sold at late rates.

Bd., six-tooth ewes, 225., four and five year ewes, 16s. to 205., f.m. ewes, Bs. to 10s. 6d., store, two-tooth wethers (small), 17s. 6d. to 18s. 6d.; .w.f. lambs (good), 16s. 6d. to 18s. (medium), 12s. to 13s. 9d., small 9s. to Ils. 6d., ewe lambs (good), 17s. 10d., medium, 12s. 6d. to 135., small, Bs. to 9s. Fat wethers, 20s. 6d. to 235., fat ewes, 10s. to 12s. 6d„ fat lambs, 19s. to 215., fat cows. £5 to £6 10s., store cows £3 10s. to £4 55., cull cows, 30s. to 365., springing cows, £7 to £8 55., baconers £2 18s,, to £3 10s., porkers, £2 to £2 55., weaners.
