AGREEMENT ON ALL SUBJECTS
COMMUNIQUE FROM ANKARA
A communique about the talks Mr. Anthony Eden and General Sir John Dill have just concluded with the Turkish leaders in Ankara was broadcast by the Ankara radio last night, states the 8.8.C.’ The present international situation was reviewed from every angle, particular attention being paid to Balkan problems and matters closely connected with the common interests of Turkey and Britain. Complete accord was reached in the policy of the two Governments on all subject” Mr Eden and Sir John Dill were leaving Ankara last night. They had a talk, with the President. General Inomi. which lasted for two hours. Sir Stafford Cripps, British Ambassador in Russia, who arrived in Ankara yesterday morning, was reported to be meeting Mr. Eden before the Foreign Secretary Jeff Turkey last night.
