NATIONAL SAVINGS THE 500th ACCOUNT ("Times-Age” Special.) Won by the person who opened the 400th National Savings Account at the Featherston Post Office, and whose desire for anonymity has been respected. the donation by Mr. Ned Perry, which the anonymous winner immediately donated again to the person who opened the 500th account was won on Wednesday by a National Savings Army recruit. Mrs. A. B. Kelly, Te Maire Road. Featherston. The local organiser deeply appreciates the untiring efforts of Mrs. R. N. Barton. Ongaha. who incidentally enrolled the winner. Mrs. A. B. Kelly. The thanks and appreciation of the organiser are similarly extended to Miss Nancy Cade, Pihautea, Mrs. B. Smith. Kaitoke, and to Mr. S. Reed. "Te Awa Awa Roa." who earlier in the campaign, displayed creditable enthusiasm in interesting and enrolling new members.

Residents in the Featherston district are rapidly becoming “National Savings” conscious but an earnest appeal is made to those who fully appreciate the necessity for lending now and spending after the war, to delay no longer but to enrol today.
