HEAVY SNOW IN NORTHERN. BULGARIA

Mr Eden’s secretary announced that diplomatic and political talks at Ankara were so successful that no further meeting is needed. The military delegate will continue a discussion on technical problems. Mi' Eden conferred with President Inonu in the evening and will see Sir Stafford Cripps tomorrow. Mr Eden also talked with the Russian, Bulgarian and Yugoslav ministers. Both English and Turkish circles aie in the highest spirits and the Ankara radio, in one of many enthusiastic broadcasts declared that the capital was in a feiment of excitement to chger the British guests. Heavy snow today throughout North Bulgaria has almost certainly granted Bulgaria a few days reprieve from occupation. No German forces crossed the Danube yesterday or today but preparations in Sofia are steadily going on. The police, for example, are now under the control of six of Herr Himmler’s men.
