The German propaganda film ‘Victory in the West” is on tour in the Bal- , hans. It has already been shown in Yugoslavia and Bulgaria, and last, according to German sources, it was shown in Turkey. Tile Berlin radio this afternoon issued reports that the British Secret Service had been active z in Bulgaria and that Bulgarian police and military authorities had found sensational documents. TTie radio stated that the Bulgarian police had arrested 50 employees of the British Intelligence and British Legation in Sofia. Rome radio said that the Greek Legation in Sofia had “followed the example of the British, Belgian and Netherlands Ministers” in leaving Bulgaria. The United States Legation, it stated, is watching their interests. The Bulgarian police have speeded up the arrest of all Bulgars who are known or suspected to have anti-Ger-man tendencies and they are being sent to a concentration camp, the radio said. The Yugoslav Government attempted to form a coalition but has failed because the Opposition declines rcssponsibility for the crisis and demands the transfer of authority to the Council of the Regency. Belgrade reports that the German Minister to Yugoslavia, Herr von Hercn, was unexpectedly summoned to Fuschel. near Salzburg, to confer with the Foreign Minister, Herr von Ribbentrop.
MESSAGE TO RUMANIA
MUSSOLINI’S APPRECIATION. ATTITUDE TO BRITAIN. LONDON. February 26. Signor Mussolini has sent a message to the Chief of the Rumanian State. General Antonescu, stating: "I warmly approve of your attitude to Britain. I much appreciate your Government's straightforward action, which has neatly cut short all possible British manoeuvres.” (It was earlier reported that General Antonescu, has ordered a plebiscite at the weekend on the policy of the Government.
