FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL RURAL HOUSING LOAN. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, at a Special Meeting of the Featherston County Council, held on the 14th day of February. 1941, the following RESOLUTION was pasesd by way of SPECIAL ORDER and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on the 14th day of March, 1941, at 10.30 a.m., at the Councl Chambers, Kitchener Street, Martinborough. AND THAT the Featherston County' Council, pursuant to the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, and the Rural Housing Act 1939, and its amendments. DOTH HEREBY RESOLVE by way of Special Order, as follows: — 1. THAT the Council Raise from the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand a loan of £lO,OOO (ten thousand pounds) or so much thereof as may be required for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act, 1939, and its amendments such loan to be called the Rural Housing Loan No. 1, 1940, £lO,OOO. 2. THAT the Council repay halfyearly in reduction of the loan an i amount equal to the sum of all amounts j which are expressed to be payable to; the Council during the half-year end-: ing on each half-yearly date by the Agreements entered into with the] Council during the half-year ending on each half-yearly date by the Agreements entered ito with the Council by the various farmers to whom the loan moneys are to be advanced.

3. THAT interest at the rate of £3% on unpaid principal be paid by the Council calculated on the daily debtor balance of the Council in the accounts of the lender. 4, THAT the security of the loan in respect of such charge shall be a Special Rate of One Fourteenth (l/14th) of a Penny in the £ on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all property in the County of Featherston.
