DEATH OF HELENE CHADWICK
FROM FAMF TO OBSCURITY. Older picture fans in Masterton will be sorry to hear of the death of Helene Chadwick, one of the big stars of the silent screen and who appeared in numerous pictures at the old Thomp-son-Payne pictures in the Foresters' Hall where- the State Theatre stands today. Helene Chadwick, who once earned £BOO a week, died in obscurity after slipping down that well-known and pathetic trail from stardom to featured roles, from featured roles to bits, from bits to crowd work, and finally from crowd work to oblivion.
