He denied later talk that he objected to her continuing her career, in films or on ice. "Sonja can continue doing just as she wants.” he beamed. She was born at Oslo, Norway. Sonja ‘aged 27> has her feet insured for £937,500 should anything happen to them so that she would be unable to skate. Studio also insures her during production. In New York Supreme* Court recently she said: "Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer told me 1 would not photograph. Since them I have earned £199.935 and have another £42.187 in sight.”
