ANNUAL MEETING ELECTION OF OFFICERS. SEASON TO OPEN ON APRIL 26. The 15th annual meeting of the Wairarapa Coursing Club was held last evening, there being a fair attendance of members. The annual report and balance sheet was presented, and members expressed their satisfaction with the financial position of the dub and the sport provided during the past season. E All-Worth and Regan It was dveim-d that the coursing sea--c,n open on Apr.l 26 with the Puppy Stakes and open Stakes. The Norm 1--kmd championships are to be run on June 26. 27 and 28. and '.lie Now Zea kind St Leger on August 9. In connection with the final mechanical hare meeting on March 22 it was decided to make this the Wairarapa Championship meelmg, and to give the proceeds to the Navy-Nursing Queen It is hoped that the public will support tin- meeting and help to place the Navy-Nursing Queen at the head of the poll. In preparation for this event a training run will be held next Sunday and it is hoped that owners will tal;< 1 this opportunity to get their dogs into farm tor the Patriotic Meeting which should be the bv-.t of the season.
