WEDDING

SIMPSON—TH WAITES. Hydrangeas shaded from deep blue to vieu rose made a beautiful setting for the wedding in the Horarata Anglican Church. Canterbury, on Wednesday. February 12. of Majory. third daughter of Mr and Mrs A. S. Thwaites, “Longridge." Glenroy. and Sergeant Roy Kennedy Simpson, Divisional Signals. Trentham. second son of Mr and Airs M. M. Simpson. Masterton. The lovely blooms, most of which came from Masterton. toned beautifully with the bridal colour scheme.

The bride, who was escorted by her father wore a smart model frock m powder blue with large black picture hat and carried a bouquet to tone. Her sister. Miss Nancy Thwaites. was bridesmaid and wore vieu rose with accessories to match. Sergeant John Gresham. Palmerston North, was best man and Mr Alan Simpson, Masterton, brother of the bridegroom acted as groomsman.

The reception and wedding breakfast were held on the lawn of "Longridge." Mrs Thwaites received her guests wearing an ensemble of dark cornflour blue with smart matching hat.

Mrs Simpson wore grey, relieved with orchids and black hat. For travelling the bride wore a navy tailored costume and small hat.
