WEDDING
GREEN-HAMILTON. A quiet wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew’s Church, Masterton. on Saturday last, when Constance Jean, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs T. A. Hamilton. Marlinborough. was married to Alan Henry, youngest son of the late Mr and Mrs Green, of Masterton. The service, which was fully choral, was performed by the Rev. W. V. Joblin. The bride, who was escorted-by her father, wore a pretty frock and coatee of deep cyclamen with wine accessories. Miss Olive Pain, who was attired in a dusky grey frock with navy toning, was bridesmaid. Both bride and bridesmaid carried bouquets of pink lilies, carnations, and maidenhair fern. Mr Ken Joblin attended the bridegroom as best man. A reception was held in the Parish Hall, when relatives and friends were entertained at a sumptuous wedding breakfast. The guests were received by the bride's mother, who wore a model frock of petunia with hat to match, and was assisted by the bridegroom’s sister, Mrs L. Shepherd, who was attired in a navy and white ensemble. Each carried a posy in autumn tints. Later Mr and Mrs Green left for the north, the bride wearing a smart clover two piece suit with matching accessories.
