ATHLETIC CLUB [ DATE FOR ANNUAL SPORTS. A meeting of members of the Eketahuna Athletic Club held last night decided to hold its annual sports fixture on Saturday, March 20. The proceeds will be donated to the patriotic funds. The Ladies' Patriotic Committee signified its willingness to assist with the sports in any way. and other oilers of assistance were forthcoming. A committee representing the club and consisting of the president, Mr S, Daniell; secretary, Mr C. Hausman, and Mr S. J. O'Regan. was appointed to keep in touch with, the Patriotic Committee. A programme which included athletic, tug-of-war and novelty events, was adopted. SWIMMING SPORTS POSTPONED. The weekly sports of the Swimming J Club was again abandoned last night J on account of cold and wet weather.; — n ntriotiv Committee.
