WAR CO-OPERATION
MR R. G. MENZIES REACHES BRITAIN MESSAGE FROM AUSTRALIAN PEOPLE, ASSURANCES OF UNSTINTED \ HELP. The Prime Minister of Australia, Mr. R. G. Menzies arrived in Britain by air yesterday afternoon, the 8.8. C. reports. He is there at the invitation of the British Government to discuss matters of common interest in war co-opera-tion. Mr. Menzies said he was delighted to come to England to say t" the people of Britain, on behalf of the people of .Australia. that Australians wore on their side, and that Britain would never be beaten while any Australians wore above the surface In his 11 days’ tour of the Middle East, from Jerusalem to Benghazi. Mr. Menzies said he had travelled 3500 miles which was some indication of how fast the Australian forces were travelling. He found the Australians in tremendous fettle. They regarded the operations against the Italians a ; m the nature of a preliminary canter, and all they wanted to d.i was to have a go at the German's.
