RAM FAIR

STUDS & FLOCKS OFFERED LINCOLNS AND ROMNEYS. BIG ATTENDANCE OF BUYERS. There was an attendance of buyers from many parts of New Zealand' for the first day of the Masterton A. and P. Association's annual ram fair at Solway Showgrounds, today. The offering. today, consists of a few pens of flock Lincolns, a large number of flock Romneys and 27 pens of Stud Romnevs.

As is usual with this widely known fixture practically every Wairarapa breeder is represented, together with many from outside districts.

There was a generous response io the annual appeal for the Institute tor the Blind. Mr P. G. Ramsay introduced Mr Ashdown, a member of the institute. who asked for support of farmers. as in past years. Numerous donations of a pound were received in addition to a silver collection. The sum of £73 was collected in the hat which was passed round and another £3O was forthcoming in donations. a very satisfactory result. Sales were as follow:— FLOCK ROMNEYS. A c A. L.
