GIRLS’ SWIMMING SPORTS i — i q HELD YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. — .■ FOUR RECORDS’BROKEN. j j The girls' swimming sports were - held at the Wairarapa College yesterday afternoon in ideal weather. There were many exciting finishes. The j standard of swimming on the whole was higher than in previous I years. The sports were capably ■ organised by the sports mistress. Miss ■ R. K. Edwards, and every race was ‘ run up to time. Maisie Pauling, junior champion. t - broke two records. Gwenylh Morice - won the intermediate championship as 2 well as the style race. Fay Humphrey the senior championship, and Norma Stains the diving championship. Mrs ® O. Jones presented the trophies. The officials were:—Starter. Mr Tier: cal] steward.
