The raider which attacked the British convoy in the Atlantic last week flew the British flag, according to survivors. Powerful and heavily-armed, it joined the convoy about midnight on February 13 and about 250 miles south-west-ward of Madeira, and steamed with it for about four hours, when it suddenly increased speed and began firing.
