WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

OPAKI MEETING. AWARDS IN FLOWER COMPETITION. (“Times-Age” Special.) Al lhe monthly meeting of lhe Opaki Women’s Institute. Mrs. A. Beetham presided. A letter from the Wairarapa Federation secretary in reference to the meeting of the Federation, lo be held in Masterton in April, was read and discussed. The flower competition produced some very fine exhibits. Mrs. McGrath acted as judge and made the following awards:~-Mrs Malmo. 1 and 3; Mrs Harris 2. The next meeting will be held on March 6. at lhe home of Mrs Wingate. The roll call will be "Proverbs." The hostesses served afternoon tea. after which lhe meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
