Instances of dogs having died as a result of the use of arcealine hydrobromide for the eradication of hydatids were reported to the monthly meeting of the Hawke's Bay Countj Council by the inspector. The yacht Te Rapunga. in which Captain George Dibbern and Miss Eileen Morris, Napier, have been cruising the Pacific for the past five or six years and in which they recently returned to Napier, is not for sale, an offer by Mr H. Ward, Auckland, having been rejected. The seriousness of imperilling, by subversive propaganda. the lives of men serving in the forces was referred to by Mr Justice Johnston in the Supreme Court, Wellington, yesterday, when sentencing Edward Harrison, aged 4-1. janitor at Weir House, to the maximum term of 12 months' hard labour. Harrison was found guilty last week of being in " possession of six copies of the "Tribune,” described as successor to the "People's Voice." and three copies of "Peace and Socialism.” with a view to facilitating the distribution of subversive statements.
