AIR FIGHTING

ITALIANS BADLY BEATEN IN ALBANIA REPORTED HEAVY LOSSES. AT HANDS OF R.A.F. & GREEK FORMATIONS. In Albania, a small force of British fighters engaged a strong enemy formation over the Klisura region, the 8.8. C. reports. Four of the enemy planes were shot down. Several others were so damaged that it is unlikely they were able to return to their base. One of the British pilots had to abandon his machine, but made a safe landing by parachute. A later Greek communique states that eight Italian machines were shot down by units of the Greek Air Force, no Greek machines being lost. These enemy losses are in., addition., to., the four planes brought down by the R.A.F. An agency correspondent states that three more enemy aircraft were destroyed by British fighters.
