The Hack Cup was won by Katesbridge.' the second favourite, by half a length from the outsider Waikawa. The' Gore meeting yesterday saw Wild Career win the principal event. There was an unusual occurrence in the Telegraph Trotting Handicap when from a false start half the field completed the journey.

He will resume strong work soon, as another trip to Trentham is in view next month, after which he may be seen in the Great Easter Handicap. K raal. In all probability, Kraal will be allowed to run out her hack nominations at the Waikato meeting, where she is engaged in the Beercscourt Hack Handicap. With 9.4. Kraal is not badly | treated.
In Nice Order. Sea Law has returned to work in nice order to undergo another preparation. A three-year-old of whom big things were expected in the spring. Sea Law ricked a joint while at the Waikato Spring meeting. which brought an enforced respite. He is by Foxbridge from Sealoria.
Notable Omissions. Sovereign Lady, Muffler, and Rue arc three notable omissions from the Riccarton horses nominated for the Dunedin meeting this month. The absence of Mr George Murray Aynsley will leave a real gap. as he has been one of the oldest and most successful patrons of Wingatui. An inquiry was held into interference with Atua Here in the Mataura Highweight. and the judicial committee decided to suspend P. J. Boyle, rider of Araboa. for one month. A sensation was caused in the Telegraph Trot when half of the field went away to a false start and completed the journey.
