I The raspberry crops, which did so | well in the early part of the season i have now practically finished, owing ; to the wind having damaged the canes. BOWLING N. S. McLEOD WINS SINGLES. In order to complete the club singles competition most of the rinks were occupied on Saturday with these games. At the conclusion of the section play Carter had 2 lives and McLeod one. In the semi-final which was played for the greater part in a heavy gale, both McLeod and Carter gave good displays. McLeod took a while to find the green but won the game by a margin of three. In the final between these two players the wind dropped' for the first part of the game and' there was little between them, three I points being the most to separate them . at any time. On the 20th head the score was 20-all. McLeod secured a. single on the 21st head, the final score! being 20-21. The following were the results of - the other games played: — Singles: J. Reid beat H. W. Feast: i E. Skeet beat Reid; B. Feast beat E.' Skeet; McLeod beat Kiernan; Carter i beat Kilgour: Carter beat McLeod; McLeod beat Kilgour: Carter beat Shed- ■ den: Shedden beat Dennes.

In the McLeod Buttons game H. R. Feast and G. Brunton beat A. Campbell and H. B. Wallace.
