PRODUCTION IN UNITED STATES ENORMOUS SPEED-UP SOON. ANTICIPATED BY MR. STIMSON. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrigtit I WASHINGTON. February 6. The Secretary of War, Mr. Stimi>on said the British and French financing of United States aircraft production early in the war would soon result in an enormously speeded-up output of warplanes, lie added that strikes had hampered defence production very little, compared with the last war. CANADA’S AIR POWER REMARKABLE EXPANSION MAY SURPASS UNITED STATES BY 1942. OTTAWA, February 6. The Minister for Air, Mr. Power, predicted that Canda might surpass the United States in air power by the end of 1942. He based this prediction <»n, the speed with which Canada is training lighting and ground personnel and commissioning new planes. Mr. Power added that there are at least 20(1.1X10 potential airmen in Canada. and he expected that 83 new air schools will be operating by July, or two months ahead of the schedule. ,
