W. mini's that Australia was entering upon a period during which her very existence would be at stake, were given by the Acting-Prime Minister. Mr Faddem and the Leader of the Opposition, Mr Curtm, after a meeting of the Advisory War Council. Mr Fadden disclosed that there were proposals to step up defence activities particularly in relation to the protection of Australia from enemy attack ami to obtain the maximum industrial effort m munitions production and other war industries.
