ADDINGTON SALE LAMB PRICES IMPROVE. FAT CATTLE PRICES DOWN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. February 5. Normal entries were the rule at today’s weekly market at Addington, the only exception being that store lambs were 5000 fewer and adult store sheep about 1500 more. Lambs recovered last week’s easing of Is. to Is. (id. a head and adult sheep sold freely. Fat lambs: 3000 were penned and a good sale resulted at up to schedule rates, tep pens making from 355. to 375. in a few cases.

Fat sheep: 4500 were penned and generally met a less active market. There was a heavy supply of light ewes, and these were a shade bciow export schedule. A slight easing was shown for butchers' sheep. Best wethers made 20s. to 315., tops to 335. 6d.. medium to good 235. to 255.: best ewes. 19s. io 225. a few tops to 265, ordinary 15s. to 175., light Ils. to 13s. (id. Fat cattle: 469 were penned, all of average quality. Bodies of from 650 to 8001 b. cased only slightly, but all other classes were down, inferior sorts particularly. Best steers realised from £l5 to £lB. medium to good £l2 to £l4. light down to £8 10s.: best heifers £lO to £ll 155.. medium £8 10s. to £9 155.: best cows £9 10s. to £ll 55., good average £5 Bs. to £9 55.. light and rough down to £4 15s. Fat pigs: The porker market was over-supplied with light pigs and the sale was weaker. Porker prices ranged from 395. 6’d. to 575. 6d., the average price a pound being 6Jd. to 7|d. Baconers sold keenly, prices ranging from £4 Is. (?d. to £4 7s. 6d. 6td. to 7d a pound.

The Associated Auctioneers report as follows on their Pahiatua weekly sale; when some 3000 sheep, comprising mostly lambs were offered to a failattendance of buyers. LAMBS IN KEEN DEMAND

The Associated Auctioneers report as follows in their Masterton sale yesterday:—A good yarding of lambs and store sheep came forward, and there wa.s a good attendance of buyers. Lambs were in keen demand, and a general improvement in prices was evident, one exceptionally good line of 251 shorn wether lambs on account of Mamaku Station realising 20s. 3d. Prices:—

Fat sheep: Good fat lambs. 28s. 3d.; fat wethers. 225. to 225. 6d., light, 205.; fat ewes. 13s. 6d.; fat maiden ewes, 18s.

Store sheep: Two-tooth medium, 235. 4d,, small, I7s. (id.; two-tooth wethers, good 19s. 7d, small IBs. 4d.
