HOSTELS IN NORWAY
FOR GERMAN SOLDIERS APPEAL MADE FOR FUNDS. SIG N FIC ANT UNDERTA KI NG. (British Official Wireless. I RUGBY. February 4. A German appeal for funds for building hostels for German soldiers in Norway is remarked upon by all the Berlin correspondents of neutral newspapers, according to Press messages from Zurich. The hostels are being erected from the far north to Oslo. Hiller has spent 1.000,000 marks on them, and public societies have subscribed a further 3.000.000 marks, and more is to be raised by public collections. The goal aimed at is. in fact, 12.000.000 marks In view of Hitler's twice-repeated solemn declaration that the war with Britain will be concluded this year, the erection of hostels on such a costly scale and—by implication —of such durability is considered to be evidence of Hiller’s intention not to withdraw : his soldiers from Norway after the : war.
