Mr and Mrs J. V. Gordon Pownall Street. Masterton. have returned from a visit to Raumati Beach.
Mr and Mrs E. F. Barton Lansdowne. who have been slaying at Castlepoint, have returned home. Mrs H. J. W. Lord Essex Street. Masterton. is spending a few days in Wellington.
Mr and Mrs E. G. Norman. Cole Street. Masterton. have returned from a visit to Paraparaumu Beach.
The death occurred on .Monday after a long illness of Mrs E. C. Herring, wife of Mr’ll. E. Herring, former M.P. for Mid-Canterbury.
The many friends of Miss Joan Tandy, the well-known Wellington dancer, will be pleased to learn of her recent success in passing the ballroom examination conducted in Wellington by Miss Josephine Bradley, of England.
The marriage took place at Waipukurau on January 27 of Mr Murdo McRae Innes, third son of Mrs and the late Mr G. H. Innes, of Tinui. to Miss Sylvia Kathleen Monckton. eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs L. M. Monckton. of Waipukurau.
