Mrs. F. E. Whittaker, of Frankton, is a visitor to Masterton.
Miss Lorna Henderson, who has been visiting Masterton. has returned to Wellington.
Mrs. Hutchins. Masterton. and her daughter, Mrs. Wilkins, of Hamilton, are spending a holiday in Petone.
The death has occurred at Napier of Mrs Robert McCombe, at the age of "0 ; years. She arrived at Napier in 1874 in ] the sailing ship Alsine, and had lived ! there ever since.
The death has occurred at Wellingi ion of Mrs. McVilly. wife of Mr. R. W. 1 McVilly. M.V.0., who was formerly I General Manager of the New Zealand I Railways. Mrs. McVilly was a native * of Dunedin, a daughter of the late Mr. | John Stevens of that city. She had ! lived for many years in Wellington and was well known as a charming hostess and iirm friend.
