No. 38, is one of the earliest Southdown flocks established in the Dominion. The flock was founded in 1902 by purchases of ewes from the flocks of the late S. R/ Lancaster (Flock No. 7) and the late Jas. Johns (Flock No. 17). The shearling ewes, rams and lambs arc by Oakleigh 245/34 (10025) and Alloa 15/37 (10969).
